Mooncakes at Metropole


To celebrate the annual mid-Autumn festival, Hotel Metropole Hanoi is launching its legendary mooncake collection at L’Epicerie du Metropole from Aug. 10 to Sep. 15. In addition to varieties such as the traditional mix, Hotel Metropole Hanoi has created new flavours; green bean and dried apricot, salted egg, lotus with young rice, red bean and mango and more.

The venue the used to be M Cafe has shifted gears. In a loft-like space off Au Co with lots of natural light ooding in, the owners have seen more potential in retail than coffee. After a makeover, they now sell handcrafted home decor, nished with olive oil and beeswax, in the VND50,000 to VND200,000 range.

An Owston’s Civet who had been kept as a pet in Dong Nai province since 2014 has been successfully rescued
and voluntarily handed over to Save Vietnam’s Wildlife by its former owner.
